This is a QuickTime movie that Sarah and I made
to test a stop-motion animation technique we are planning to use with some more extensive
projects. Basically, we attached a video camera to a computer that was used as a video frame-grabber.
The set was nothing more than an X-Files poster I happened to have around (shocker there, eh?). The
most difficult part of the whole endevour was to light it.
What's really amusing is that after we had already built the set for our next project (a claymation
short) is that we realized it would have been a lot smarter to simply set up a miniature blue stage.
As it is, we'll have to relight the scene each time we want to do something. Oh well, maybe we'll
do that for the next project...
