This is a QuickTime movie that I made to test a new animation technique. I was annoyed with
having to do my own 'tweening and wanted to see if I could get a program to do it for me. I
scanned in some photos from a Muybridge sequence to use for key frames. I used the key frames
as templates on which I created independent layers in Adobe AfterEffects. Each layer was
a bone set (eg. forearm, upper arm, thorax, etc.) with the anchor defined at the joints.
I set a key frame at each of the photos and set up the templates. I let AfterEffects do the
'tweening simply by interpolating between location and rotation of the layers. As you can see,
this led to some interesting artifacts. Notice the floating hand. Also, while this is OK for
relatively flat objects, I did not follow it through to see how it would work for a final product.
