| A young woman stands next to a desk contemplating a odd piece of technology. The piece of junk looks to be about the size of a small radio. The woman fiddles with it as if trying to make it work. Frustrated, she leaves the device on the edge of the desk and retreats to the far end of the table where she climbs into a large chair.
CAROL remains perched on the chair, waiting longingly for the device to come to life. Nothing happens.... She snatches up the device and walks angrily into the dining room from her study. She slams the box down at one end of the table and exits. After a minute she returns and seats herself down at the opposite end of the table. She puts her chin down on the table, her eyes never leave the device. |
