Within the scene Dax almost bumps into Kirk as she crosses the bridge to where Sisko is supposedly sitting. Kirk must have been masked out as he moves allowing Dax to be seen passing behind him. The timing of the overted collision and Dax's standing on the stairs definitely add a convincing air to the scene. I was able to see the blue stage for this set (which was actually green) and was struck by the number of levels they built in order to match Dax's motion on the bridge. They not only had to build each step and level, but they all had to be even lit in order for the artists to drop them out during composition. J.
